General terms and conditions of business
- Basis
- These General Terms and Conditions of coupona GmbH, Klimm 1a, A-6644 Elmen, Austria, VAT ID ATU82427358 (“coupona”) apply to the sale of tickets through the ticket shops operated by coupona.
- The contract of sale for the ticket is concluded exclusively between the buyer and the organizer or operator named for each product and in the order summary. coupona is never the organizer or operator.
- coupona sells the tickets in the name and for the account of the organizer/operator and is authorized by them to conclude the contract of sale and to collect the purchase price. In doing so, coupona acts exclusively for the organizer/operator and not for the buyer.
- If an order contains tickets from several organizers/operators, a separate contract of sale is concluded for each item with the organizer/operator named for that item.
- The terms of the respective organizer/operator additionally apply to the visit.
- Event and requirements
- All information about the events (such as place, date and programme) originates from the organizer itself and is not verified by coupona.
- The buyer assumes responsibility for the accuracy of the customer data entered during the order process.
- Event tickets may be purchased from the age of 18, or with the consent of a legal guardian.
- The contract between the buyer and the respective organizer is concluded by the provision of the ordered tickets by email or instant download.
- Payment and delivery
- The purchase price is collected by coupona in the name and for the account of the organizer/operator. Payment to coupona releases the buyer from their payment obligation towards the organizer/operator. The technical processing is carried out by a payment service provider; that service is subject to the provider’s terms.
- Ticket prices include statutory value added tax.
- After successful payment the ordered tickets are available for download immediately. In addition, the buyer receives all tickets plus the invoice by email.
- Right of withdrawal
- Services provided in connection with leisure activities are excluded from the right of return, where the contract provides for a specific date or period for performance by the trader.
- Rebooking is not possible (e.g. date, time slot, category).
- After completing the order it is in most cases possible to take out cancellation insurance for admission tickets. This is handled by a partner company. Its general terms and conditions therefore apply.
- In exceptional cases the organizer/operator, or coupona in their name, is entitled to cancel orders. This applies in particular where a contingent has inadvertently been overbooked (through other channels) and the event can no longer be guaranteed (e.g. shuttle bus tickets). In such cases all amounts paid for the cancelled order are refunded without delay via the payment method used for the payment.
- Event tickets
- By purchasing a ticket the buyer has the right to attend the respective event.
- The ticket works printed or on a smartphone and is valid only with an undamaged barcode or QR code. Protect the ticket from moisture and soiling.
- Fold or cut the ticket only along the lines provided and do not crease the codes.
- The ticket works once only and is invalidated on entry to the event. Further tickets with the same code are rejected by the system.
- The printed code must be kept strictly confidential. The buyer is responsible for keeping their tickets safe.
- Tickets bought at a box office or at advance sales points are usually printed on thermal paper. They must be protected from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
- Illegible or damaged tickets are invalid and may prevent admission to an event.
- Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced. To exchange a damaged ticket, please contact the respective organizer directly.
- Passing a ticket on privately is permitted; commercial resale is prohibited.
- Cancellation of an event
- If an event is cancelled, postponed or does not take place for any other reason, the buyer is entitled to return the ticket. Liability for refunding the ticket price rests exclusively with the organizer.
